Catechism Registration for Children

Complete this form to register your child for our parish catechism (religious education) program at Mar Abraham (Scottsdale) or Holy Cross (Gilbert), where children grow in knowledge and love of the Catholic faith. Please read the instructions and guidelines below carefully before submitting.

Instructions and Guidelines for Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians, in signing up your child for Catechism Classes, know that you too join your child in learning. It is your responsibility to bring your child on time to classes. For Mar Abraham, classes are every Saturday and begin promptly with prayer at 10AM and finish at 12:00PM. At Holy Cross, class begins at 3:00PM and finishes at 4:45PM, and all students are required to attend and participate in Mass at 5PM. It is the duty of each parent to bring and attend Sunday Mass with their child — it is not enough that they hear about Jesus in the classroom, but to understand the priority of worshiping God together on the Lord's Day. These classes are not a replacement for what should happen at home, but a supplement and support to you. For children under the age of 7, parents please park your car and walk them to class. For children 7 and older, you may pull up to the hall and drop them off. To ensure the focus of the classroom, we ask that parents do not enter the classrooms. We look forward to another great year.

Registration Fee: Mar Abraham $50 | Holy Cross (Gilbert) $30. Payment will be collected online once our payment system is connected — for now, submitting sends your registration to the parish office.
